Tweedy and Popp ACE Hardware is not only Seattle's best but also the oldest hardware store, founded in 1920 by Mr. P.W. Tweedy and Mr. Lou Popp. The store is conveniently located at 1916 N 45th Street in Seattle's Wallingford district, just west of Interstate 5 at the 45th Street/University of Washington Exit (#169).  Traveling west on N 45th St. you will find Tweedy and Popp just past the intersection with Meridian Avenue N, on the north side of the street; from the east on N 45th St. Tweedy and Popp is just past QFC and Bartell's on the left.  If street parking is unavailable, continue on around the block to the north and take advantage of convenient parking behind the store in the lot at N 46th and Meridian.

Tweedy and Popp has a wide selection of merchandise in the following categories:  Paint and Paint Sundries; Cleaning Supplies; Tools; Electrical; Plumbing; Hardware and Fasteners; Housewares and Household Goods; Yard, Lawn and Garden; Outdoor and Automotive.  We offer customers the following services:  Key Cutting and Lock Re-keying, Custom Glass Cutting, Window Repair and Glazing, Window Screen Repair, Custom Screen Building, Tool and Mower Sharpening, Fax Transmission and Reception.  In some circumstances Tweedy and Popp can also arrange free delivery within the neighborhood - from Lake Union north to 65th, between Roosevelt Ave NE and Greenwood Avenue N.; deliveries outside of that area may be arranged for a nominal surcharge.
